The figure in wood sometimes conjures up images that are unavoidable when revealed by the process. In this piece, the image of the trail left by a meteor is visible and is enhanced by the tactile and refractile differences caused by texturing the rim. The metalwork is meant to provoke the image of the path, both random and controlled, of the meteor.
